Medical Residencies and Specialization Careers: current tensions and challenges in the evaluation of the training of specialists in the Health Sciences

Medical residencies and career of specialization: tensions and challenges existing in the evaluation of the training of specialists in the Health Sciences. In Argentina the professional’s health sciences have been trained in hospitals through medical residences, and in Universities through career specialization.
Thus, both residences and career specialization based on teaching methods of the residence must
go through accreditation processes simultaneously and in parallel, in the first case by the National Ministery of Health and in the seconds case by the CONEAUIf we take into consideration the evaluation mechanisms used we observe differences in the parameters to evaluate, in the quality criteria, timing, terms of accreditation, instruments used and results that we consider necessary to review in order to enrich the discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the accreditation processes implemented in our country
