The quality assessment in higher education is a central theme of the educational agenda. Already in the nineties, Latin America, growth of university students, a disparity in the quality of education offered and simultaneously reduced public sector spending was observed. In this context different regulatory processes of higher education were established. In Argentina, through the enactment of the Higher Education Act 1995.This paper aims to investigate how the processes of evaluation and accreditation implemented have impacted the quality of Argentine university system
