The current university agenda holds as a priority the monitoring of its graduates as strategic indicators of the academic quality intended.
Therefore, it is not enough to consider the results of the
educational process without inquiring about the industry that needs to employ these graduates. These are two complementary aspects: the competences acquired by the graduates and the company requirements of those who will employ university graduates. That is why, this paper shall discuss the partial results of a study on the needs of employers
regarding the profiles that their companies require.
In short, the questions that articulate this paper are: which competences do employers require university graduates to have in order to integrate them into the labor market? what are the levels of development indeed observed?
The purpose is to provide information that can be consulted by scholars to create new careers or complementary curricular spaces that promote the necessary innovation in a globalized world where knowledge has become the main driving force for
the sustained development of society
