Analysis of the University, the Catholic Church and the People during the government of Perón (1946-1955) and the effects on Higher Education

The present work aims to make a description of University, the Catholic Church and the social movements during Perón’s government from 1946 to 1955. In addition to this, this research aims to understand how these variables had effects on Higher Education that can even be traced back to today. From establishing the gratuity of University, to the interventions of certain ecclesiastical and political groups on Universities and schools, or even social movements of different types, there were plenty of influences that the government, the church and the society
had on higher education in the country. With points in favour and against Peron’s government, this work intends to analyze some of them
