The purpose of this report is to explore and describe the need for the evaluation and accreditation of the “English Teaching Training Course” by the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation - CONEAU. To account for the inclusion of this undergraduate course,
under the national approval standards, we will focus on international background and national suggestions that allow us to assess the training of teachers in Foreign Language (FL), particularly English, as a global cultural asset. The misuse of a FL directly jeopardizes the social well-being of those who need professionals in this field for an objective professional exercise in the search for a guarantee of training for a fair and inclusive global citizenship
